Hands On Habitat

Program: Hands On Habitat

Location: Children’s Garden

Time: 6:30 pm

Program Description: Hands On Habitat is for ages 5 -10 yrs. old. Registration is required. This is a “make it and take it” event where children, along with their parent or other adult, learn about animal habitats and create a habitat container garden to take home. The fee is $8 per child, payable on the day of the event. Pre-registration is required by emailing your child’s name and age to [email protected]. Registration is limited and kids ages 5-10 yrs old will be given first priority. If there is lightning the event will be canceled. We will reschedule and notify you via email.

Location: Allen County Museum (620 West Market Street, Lima, OH 45801)

Time: Wednesday November 29, 2023 thru Sunday December 3, 2023 from 10 AM to 5 PM with special hours on Friday from 10 AM to 8 PM and Sunday 12 to 5 PM (the Master Gardener Volunteers may not be set up at all times during these dates)

Program Description: This glorious holiday tradition is a partnership between the Allen County Museum, Allen County Master Gardeners and the Johnny Appleseed Park District. It features more than 100 trees and wreaths decorated by local businesses and organizations. There are plenty of activities, including everyone’s favorite, Evergreen, the Talking Tree.
